Last December, the tabloid Mumbai Mirror had reported that Rajkummar Rao, Abhishek Bachchan, Pankaj Tripathi were part of the cast of director Anurag Basu’s next project. The untitled film is said to be an anthology. Now, Fatima Sana Shaikh has also joined the cast.

Shaikh, last seen in The Thugs of Hindostan (2018), teams up with Rao for the first time.

The Dangal (2016) actress confirmed the news when she tagged Rajkummar Rao in her now expired Instagram story. Rao, too, had posted an Instagram story about shooting in the city of Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh on 14 January.

As per the Mumbai Mirror report, Rao and Shaikh will be shooting for 15 days in the central India city. A certain portion of the film will also be shot in Saif Ali Khan’s ancestral home, Pataudi Palace, in Haryana.

There has been no official word from the producer, T-Series, as yet, but the social media posts by the actors have confirmed their presence in the film.

Another actor, who has been linked with this film confirmed doing the film but refused to give any details.

Abhishek Bachchan, who is also said to be part of the project, is currently shooting for the Amazon Prime web-series Breathe 2.

Basu had directed Life in a… Metro (2007); his last film Jagga Jasoos (2017) fared poorly at the box office.
