Uri: The Surgical Strike is on its way to becoming Vicky Kaushal's biggest hit as a solo lead. After a strong opening weekend where it bagged over Rs35 crore nett, Uri enjoyed a huge Monday where it bagged around Rs10.25 crore nett, thereby taking its four day total to around Rs45.75 crore nett.
The collection was further boosted on account of the festival of Makar Sankranti, a holiday in certain parts of the country.
Uri: The Surgical Strike is directed by Aditya Dhar and produced by RSVP. The film is based on Indian army’s 2016 surgical strike in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) in retaliation against the terror strike in Uri district in Jammu and Kashmir.
Uri: The Surgical Strike is made at an estimated budget of Rs25 crore and was released across 2,200 screens in India.
