The tribute is hampered by their lack of energy while dancing.

The song ‘Naino Mein Sapna’ from Himmatwala (1983), its setting and costumes are still fresh in the minds of people. Director Sanjay Jadhav now pays tribute to the song and its actors Sridevi and Jeetendra through the song ‘Kopcha’ from his upcoming film, Luckee.
It is not often that you see a Marathi film paying tribute to a song or film of another language. Unfortunately, while the intentions of the makers seem genuine, the tribute has turned out to be a poor one.
It wouldn’t have been fair to expect actors Abhay Mahajan and Deepti Sati to match up to Sridevi and Jeetendra. But the problem is that their dance steps, along with that of the many extra dancers simply lack the energy needed to perform such a song. The vibrant visuals also fail to have an effect because of this.
The lyrics are simply average, and the inclusion of the sexually suggestive lines don’t help either.
Veteran Bappi Lahiri and Vaishali Samant have come together for the song and carry out their task pretty well.
The makers also came up with a poster of Lucky recently. It has Mahajan running naked with a swimming float to cover his modesty.
The film will be released on 7 February.
