The coffee is getting too hot to handle for chat show host Karan Johar. After the fiasco of the behaviour of cricketers Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul on the latest episode of Koffee With Karan season 6, the online streaming partners of the show, Hotstar, have pulled the episode off air.

The channel, Star World, which hosts Johar's show has also pulled off the snippets and teasers of the episode from its social media handles. The two cricketers came under a lot of flak for their uncivil and crass description of women on Johar's show.

Immediately after the show went on air, both Rahul and Pandya came under criticism on social media for their crass comments. At one point in the show, Johar asks Pandya, "Why don’t you ask women’s names at nightclubs?”, he replied, “I like to watch and observe how they move. I’m little from the black side so I need to see how they move.” While Rahul avoided saying anything inappropriate during the episode, the batsman has been accused of playing along.

The reactions forced the Board of Cricket Control of India (BCCI) to act and issue a show cause notice to Pandya and Rahul. Pandya also issued a public apology on social media following the criticism that came his way.

While the cricketers have been facing flak, Johar and the makers of the show have quietly removed the links. The show being pulled down from Hotstar remains the first action against the makers of the show.

Johar has not yet made any comments regarding the questions and the answers that were aired on the show.
