Sudeshna Roy and Abhijit Guha’s upcoming film Samsaara which tells a journey through life, will feature Ritwick Chakraborty, Rahul Banerjee, Indrajit Chakraborty in the lead roles. Samsaara is Ritwick’s fourth project with the director duo after Cross Connection (2009), Cross Connection 2 (2015) and Bitnoon (2015).

Tanusree Chakraborty, Devlina Kumar and Arja Banerjee will pair up with these three actors respectively, and Sudiptaa Chakraborty, Ambarish Bhattacharya and Samadarshi Dutta will play important roles as supporting characters.

In the film, Riwtick plays a delusional writer and his path crosses with his childhood friends Rahul and Indrajit after 18 years since they left school.

In an interview with The Times Of India, the directors said, “Samsaara is about three not-so-young friends — Ritwick, Rahul and Indrajit. Each of them has developed differently. When they meet up, they understand the crisis faced by the writer among them (Ritwick) and embark on a journey to discover the unknown.”

The intriguing aspect of Ritwick’s character is that he has a vision, but cannot fathom whether it is true or not until his two friends come to his aide. Apart from Ritwick’s character, Sudiptaa and Samadarshi too share some mysterious traits which the director did not want to reveal.

“We have done Cross Connection, Cross Connection 2 and Bitnoon together. With him (Ritwick), there is a certain comfort zone. Also, this is our second project with Indrajit, who is partially helming the production” added the directors.
