Actress Priyanka Chopra is slowly becoming one of the more popular Indian celebrities on the international market. The actress's rise can be measured by Madame Tussaud's recent move to install four wax model statues of Chopra across their museums in New York, London, Sydney and in Asia.

The actress made the announcement on the occasion of Madame Tussauds in New York city launching the first statue of Chopra, post her wedding to Nick Jonas. Sharing the picture on her Instagram, the actress wrote, ' 4 figures. UK, Australia, Asia coming up! Thank you to the Madame Tussaud’s team'

Chopra's four statues will break late Academy Award-winning singer, Whitney Houston's previous record of three wax statues at the prestigious establishment.

The statue at the New York city branch has Chopra wearing her now famous Emmy Awards look with a gown by Jason Wu. The actress reportedly worked closely with the makers on her look.

People magazine quoted Christine Haughney, regional head of marketing at Merlin Entertainments, saying, "Priyanka Chopra is a global superstar who is loved and admired by fans all over the world for her talent, intellect, beauty and compassion."

Haughney added, "We are excited to celebrate such an empowering role-model globally and to welcome her to Madame Tussauds New York, in her adopted-home city, to launch her first ever figure is truly special."

Chopra is currently awaiting the release of the film, Isn't It Romantic, featuring Rebel Wilson, Chris Hemsworth and Adam DeVine. The film will be released internationally on 13 February.
