New pictures of Soundarya Rajinikanth, fiancé go viral ahead of wedding

Filmmaker Soundarya Rajinikanth, daughter of superstar Rajinikanth, earlier this week confirmed she will marry actor-businessman Vishagan Vanangamudi. The wedding is slated to take place from 11-13 February in Chennai.

Last week, Soundarya took to Twitter to make an official announcement about her wedding. She wrote: “One week to go. Bride mode. Ved Vishagan Soundarya."

Ahead of their wedding, pictures of Soundarya and Vishagan, from what appears to be a cosy photo shoot, have gone viral. The pictures from the shoot got leaked on Thursday and they’ve already been circulated around a lot.

On Thursday, Rajinikanth met and invited Kamal Haasan at his office in Chennai for his daughter’s wedding. Throughout this week, he’s been meeting several top VIPs – from the film fraternity, as well as political circle - and inviting them for the wedding.

This will be Soundarya's second marriage. Soundarya had married industrialist named Ashwin Ramkumar and the couple have a son named Ved. Soundarya married Ashwin in 2010, and they filed for divorce in 2016 and subsequently got separated.

Vishagan, who is also a divorcee, is the executive director of Apex Laboratories Pvt. Ltd., one of the leading family-owned pharmaceutical companies in India. He returned to India after completing his graduation in management from Bradford University, UK and a Masters in Management from London University.

Last year, Vishagan made his acting debut with Tamil thriller Vanjagar Ulagam. He played one of the leads in the film, directed by Manoj Beedha.

Soundarya, who started her career as an assistant director on films such as Baba and Sandakozhi, recently announced that she has partnered with video streaming service MX Player to produce an original web-series on the Tamil epic, Ponniyin Selvan.

She will produce the series on the banner May 6 Entertainment while her erstwhile assistant Sooriyaprathap will direct the series.
