After key members of the team, director Kabir Khan's '83 has found its manager in Pankaj Tripathi.

The Sacred Games (2018) actor will join the cast to play the role of the then team manager PR Man Singh.

The makers of the film shared a picture of the actor to confirm his addition to the growing list of names associated with the project.

Actor Ranveer Singh is playing the role of captain and star all-rounder Kapil Dev in the film. The film '83 will be out in theatres on 10 April 2020.

Confirming his addition to the project, Pankaj Tripathi said, "He [Kabir Khan] is one of my favourite directors and we met a couple of times but never got an opportunity to work together. Then one day he called me to narrate the story of '83 and at certain points, it made me tear up."

PR Man Singh is considered one of the key members behind the scenes of the 1983 World Cup-winning Indian cricket team.

Acting as coach, manager, and liaison for the team, Man Singh ensured smooth functioning of all activities behind the scenes, arranging for the stay and comfort of the players even when the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), the game's national governing body, had little hopes for its success.

Kabir Khan's '83 is produced by him with Madhu Mantena and Vishnu Induri. The actors in the film are currently undergoing cricket training from Balwinder Singh Sandhu, a member of the World Cup-winning team himself.
