Ali Fazal to make cameo in Applause Entertainment's upcoming web-series, Mind The Malhotras

Actor Ali Fazal is set to make a cameo appearance in the web-series, Mind The Malhotras. Helmed by Applause Entertainment, the series will be produced by actress Dia Mirza's, Born Free Entertainment, and directed by Dia's husband, Sahil Sangha. 

Fazal has enjoyed a breakthrough 2018 with the success of the Amazon Original series, Mirzapur. His role as Guddu Pandit earned praise from reviewers, and the actor is set to reprise the role in the upcoming second season of the series. In addition, Fazal will also be seen in Tigmanshu Dhulia's long awaited Milan Talkies, and alongside Sanjay Dutt in Prassthanam. 

Based on an Israeli show, La Famiglia, Mind The Malhotras will be helmed by Applause Entertainment.

The series revolves around the story of a family, who share a fun relationship, but also enough frictions to force them to take therapy. Fazal is expected to play a guest role in the series. 

Speaking of the role, the actor said, "Dia and Sahil have always been very very dear to me, obviously this relationship started with Bobby Jasoos (2014), they were producers and Dia got me on board to work with Vidya [Balan] ma'am film. I got really excited, I think the format that Sahil is using is very western actually and it is very classic and I really hope that people will get to watch this kind of show as well in the middle of all the other web content that's coming out... It's a nice fun comedy and I am obviously doing one small part in one episode, it's a guest appearance. The vibe of the story sticks with you, the sets stick with you [sic]."
