Veteran actor Rajendra Gupta and Marathi film actor Yatin Karyekar are the latest to join the cast of the biopic on prime minister Narendra Modi.
Veteran trade analyst Komal Nahta shared the news. Titled PM Narendra Modi, the film is being directed by Omung Kumar and produced by Sandeep Ssingh and Suresh Oberoi.
Gupta will play the role of Modi’s father Damodardas. He was born in Vadnagar in Gujarat in 1915. His wife was Hiraben Modi. Narendra Modi was born to them in 1950.

Karyekar, on the other hand, will essay the role of Lakshmanrao Inamdar. Popularly known as Vakil saheb, he was instrumental in taking the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) to Gujarat.
Inamdar inducted Modi into the RSS, which became a stepping stone for his career in politics, and is known as Modi’s mentor. Modi reportedly used to consult Inamdar whenever he faced any problem.
PM Narendra Modi sees Vivek Anand Oberoi essay the role of the central character. The poster of the film featuring him was released earlier this year.
The film sees Barkha Bisht Sengupta play Modi’s wife Jashodaben. Boman Irani will be playing the role of the industrialist Ratan Tata.
The release date of PM Narendra Modi is not out yet.
