The Indian Air Force (IAF) carried out "pre-emptive strikes" on Jaish-e-Mohammed bases in Pakistan early on Tuesday morning. The strikes were in retaliation of the Pulwama terror attacks on 14 February, for which the organisation had claimed responsibilty. While social media praised the move, the film industry came out in full support of the military action.
Akshay Kumar was among the many to take to Twitter to praise the action by the Indian Air Force.
Proud of our #IndianAirForce fighters for destroying terror camps. अंदर घुस के मारो ! Quiet no more! #IndiaStrikesBack

John Abraham plugged in his upcoming film, Romeo Akbar Walter, which deals with the life of a spy during the 1971 war against Pakistan. The actor also reminded his followers about the air attack being the first such strike since the 1971 war, during which 500 sorties were flown across the border by the Indian Air Force.
This fact ‘sort’ of makes us proud. 500 never done before sorties executed by India during the 1971 war! Know some facts about the 1971 War? Use #RAWReality and tell us! pic.twitter.com/OIcXnbBWRq
