DIrector Nitin Kakkar has reportedly confirmed that singer Atif Aslam's song in the upcoming film, Notebook, will be re-recorded in the voice of another artist.

The decision follows the blanket ban on Pakistani artistes in the Indian film industry, as a reaction to the Pulwama terrorist attack in Kashmir on 14 February.

NDTV.com quoted Kakkar as saying, "We have got a new voice. There is only one song of Atif in the film and we will have to re-do it. We are all Indians and it is unfortunate whatever has happened. But the show must go on, as they say."

The makers of the film had initially planned to release the trailer of the film on 14 February, but postponed it following the terror attack.

The director added, "The nation is always our priority. The country comes first, then other things. Unfortunately, that incident happened and we had to do our bit. We felt it was not the right time to release the trailer. So we held it back."

A romantic drama, the film is set for release on 29 March and features newcomers Pranutan Bahl and Zaheer Iqbal.
