Mitali Mayekar will be seen as the female lead for the first time in the Marathi movie Aamhi Befikar, directed by debutant Kavishwar Marathe.
According to the recently released trailer, Aamhi Befikar is the story of Raghu (Suyog Gorhe) and his friends (Rahul Patil, Swapnil Kale, Akshay Hadke, and Devroop Sharma). Raghu is in love with Mayekar’s character. Going by the trailer, the film seems to be about what happens to their friendship. The angle of betrayal and crime is also shown in the trailer.
A lot is revealed in the trailer and the story does not seem to be fresh. The trailer itself lacks proper flow, and we wonder if this could be the case with the film too.
Mayekar has appeared in two films so far, Billu (2009), starring Shah Rukh Khan and Irrfan Khan, and Urfi (2015). But she is already popular on social media, especially Instagram. Aamhi Befikar will be Gorhe’s second film in a lead role after Krutant (2019), which was released in January this year.
Aamhi Befikar will be released on International Women’s Day, 8 March. Co-incidentally, the film has a joke on celebrating Women’s Day.
