Producer Dinesh Vijan will not exhibit Luka Chuppi and Arjun Patiala in Pakistan

Maddock Films took the stand in the aftermath of the Pulwama terror attack on 14 February.

Producer Dinesh Vijan has decided not to exhibit his upcoming films — Luka Chuppi and Arjun Patiala in Pakistan — in light of the 14 February Pulwama terror attack.

Maddock Films announced today that it will not release any of their films in the future in the neighbouring country.

The Pulwana terror attack on 14 February, masterminded by the Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammed terror outfit, saw 40 CRPF jawans martyred.

In the wake of the attack, All Indian Cine Workers Association had issued a statement banning Pakistani artistes from working in India. Director Indra Indra Kumar’s Total Dhamaal will also not be released in Pakistan. Earlier, lyricist Javed Akhtar and his wife Shabana Azmi had cancelled a visit to the Karachi Arts Council Festival.

Maddock Films' Luka Chuppi is slated to be released on 1 March, while Arjun Patiala on 19 May in India.

Luka Chuppi has Kriti Sanon and Kartik Aaryan in the lead, while Arjun Patiala will see Sanon teaming up with Diljit Dosanjh.
