Veteran actress Shabana Azmi has been diagnosed with swine flu. The 68-year-old was earlier admitted to a Mumbai hospital, but is now resting at home after her condition improved.
The actress showed her sense of humour even while being ill.
"I have not been in contact with any swine whatsoever. But I am in the hospital recovering fast," Azmi told Mid-day.com
A source close to the actress informed that Azmi was hospitalised for a few days, but her condition has since improved and is currently being treated at home. As a resut of her illness, she has been quarantined. Azmi had to give the Gully Boy screening a miss.
Over the years, the actress has taken up limited work. She was last seen in an episode of the web-series, The Good Karma Hospital (2017).
