I will give my best as Amit Shah in Narendra Modi biopic, says Manoj Joshi

Actor Manoj Joshi was recently signed for the biopic of India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi. It is now learnt that he will be essaying the role of Amit Shah, the national president of the BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party) in the film titled, PM Narendra Modi.

Joshi is excited to have got the opportunity to play this character. Sharing his happiness, he said in an official statement, “I think this a great opportunity for me as an actor to play the role of Mr Amit Shah. When Sandip Ssingh called me for the role I immediately said yes. This is one of the most important roles in the film and I will give my best to it.”

The film is directed by Omung Kumar who has previously made biopics like Mary Kom (2014) and Sarbjit (2016).

The makers have released a couple of pictures of Joshi as the character Amit Shah. The make-up and costume departments have ensured that he looks as close as possible to the BJP president.

Speaking about Joshi’s casting, Ssingh said in a statement, “This was one of the important roles in the film and nobody better than Manoj Joshi could have done it. He is one of the most talented and hardworking actors. It is a great experience working with him.”

Vivek Anand Oberoi will play the titular character in PM Narendra Modi. The film also stars Boman Irani, Suresh Oberoi, Zarina Wahab, Darshan Kumar and Barkha Bisht.
