36 Gunn poster: Sets the mood for a different romance

The film stars Santosh Juvekar and Purva Pawar in lead roles.

After Aayna Ka Bayna (2012), Half Ticket (2016) and the Hindi film Ascharya Chak It (2018), director Samit Kakkad’s next Marathi movie is titled 36 Gunn. As the title suggests, the film revolves around the theme of marriage, referring to the compatibility of a couple through their astrological charts. It stars Santosh Juvekar and Purva Pawar in lead roles.

Throwing more light on the film, an official statement from the makers said, “The movie comments on the mentality of relationships of today’s youth and their perspective on the marriage system. The movie has been shot at 90 locations in London and Mumbai. This might prove to be a ‘special treat’ for the viewers as they would be able to see many new places which they might not have seen earlier."

The first poster of the film shows a neon-lit still of Juvekar and Pawar [their faces away to the side] standing near a building.

For this film, Kakkad has collaborated with known writer Hrishikesh Koli for the screenplay, while Koli has also penned the dialogues.

36 Gunn also sees Juvekar donning the role of co-producer for the first time along with Kakkad, Mohaan Nadaar and Savitri Vinod Gaikwad. The actor was seen this year in the films, Rocky, Chatrapati Shasan, and Adham.
