Vidyut Jammwal-starrer Commando 3 has managed a decent return on its first Monday. The Aditya Datt-directed movie made Rs3.15 crore nett yesterday, as per figures shared by BoxOfficeIndia.com.

The Monday drop is just over 30 percent from its Friday figure of Rs4.75 crore nett. Commando 3 had finished its first weekend with an average number, Rs18.25 crore nett.

The third film in the franchise, Commando 3 has almost become the highest-grossing film of the lot. The second film made a lifetime business of Rs21.61 crore nett, while the current release stands at Rs21.40 crore nett on its fifth day.

As per our trade sources, Commando 3 is made at an estimated budget of Rs30 crore. The film still has some way to go before breaking even by that measure. Hence, it needs to hold steady in the coming weekdays. A point to note would be that neither of the previous two Commando movies were proper hits at the box-office.

It is doubtful that Commando 3 will hold the same command in the second weekend since director Ashutosh Gowariker’s Panipat will be releasing on Friday, 6 December. The historical drama features Arjun Kapoor, Kriti Sanon, and Sanjay Dutt.

Meanwhile, Hotel Mumbai is having a tough run at the box office. The film collected only Rs75 lakh nett on Monday taking its overall total to Rs5.25 crore nett.
