Sonalee Kulkarni and Spruha Joshi have been acting in Marathi films for more than 10 years. They are also known to be good friends. However, they have never shared screen together in any film until Vicky Velingkar came their way. The two will finally be seen together in the mystery thriller directed by Saurabh Verma.
Speaking about their association, Kulkarni said, “We are happy that we are coming together for the first time through Vicky Velingkar. We both have been close friends over the years and we enjoyed working with each other. The story of Vicky Velingkar is very different and it is something we haven’t done before. Director Saurabh Verma has done a fine job.”
She added about their onscreen bonding saying, “The special thing in the story of Vicky Velingkar is that Vicky is incomplete without Vidya (Joshi). It was a good experience playing this character and shooting for this film. We are very excited about the film,” added Kulkarni.
From the trailer, Vicky plays a clock seller and comic book artist from Pune. She gets into trouble when she realizes she is been stalked by the masked man although not everyone believes her. Vicky gets help from her friends played by Joshi and Sangram Samel, who plays a hacker.
Vicky Velingkar will release in theatres on 6 December.
