The track, written, composed and sung by Badshah, is more focused on the choreography.
Street Dancer 3 song 'Garmi': Varun Dhawan, Nora Fatehi bring the heat in an underwhelming dance number

The second song of Street Dancer 3 (2020), 'Garmi' opens with a 'warning' that the song is too hot to resist. Indeed, actor Varun Dhawan and actress Nora Fatehi burn up the dance floor with their moves, but the song itself by Badshah is underwhelming.
As the first original number of the dance film by Remo D'Souza, the song has the right energy. 'Garmi' is set in a nightclub where the characters of Dhawan and Fatehi meet up and dance together.
However, the track, written, composed and sung by Badshah, does not match the composer's track record. He ropes in singer Neha Kakkar to join him on the dance number, but even she can't lift this underwhelming song.
While the beat and rhythm is steady and fit for the mood of 'Garmi', it grows repetitive quickly. Furthermore, with the pulsating beats of previous 2018 and 2019 hits still in our minds, 'Garmi' could have raised the temperature a lot more if it wanted to.
The frequent cuts and fast zooming camera is a bit irritating at times. Overall, this latest track just feels forgettable.
Street Dancer 3 is due to be released on 24 January 2020, opposite Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari's Panga (2020) with Kangana Ranaut. Watch the song below and let us know if you are keen to watch the film.
