After going through the trailer of Ashutosh Gowariker’s Panipat, it becomes obvious that the makers have spent a bomb to recreate the bygone era of the 18th century. This becomes more evident after feasting your eyes on the song ‘Sapna Hai Sach Hai,’ which released on Monday.

The song is about the marriage ceremony between Sadashiv Rao (Arjun Kapoor) and Parvatibai (Kriti Sanon). Right from the first frame, you can’t miss Nitin Desai’s lavish, vibrant and elaborate sets, which are a treat to the eyes. The famous production designer has gone into the finest of details here.

‘Sapna Hai Sach Hai’ captures an emotional moment between the lead pair as they are united in the bond of marriage. Sanon has shown more expressions than Kapoor in the song, and feels at home with the character.

The vocals by Shreya Ghoshal and Abhay Jodhpurkar don’t get much space in the song released here as the music and the Sanskrit shlokas overpower them. The emotions displayed by Ghoshal match those of Sanon’s adding a vocal dimension to the song.

Celebrated lyricist Javed Akhtar’s poetry is simple and effective at the same time. Composer duo Ajay-Atul has used minimal music till some part and then upped the tempo.

Also starring Sanjay Dutt, Panipat will be releasing on 6 December. Watch the song below and let us know if you would be watching the film
