Tanhaji trailer 2: Ajay Devgn, Saif Ali Khan set the stage for a historic battle

The second trailer for Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior (2020) gives a more detailed look at the events which led to the big clash between the Marathas and Mughals for Sinhagad.

While the first trailer was all about the action and setting up the characters of Tanaji Malusare (Ajay Devgn) and Udaybhan Singh Rathod (Saif Ali Khan), this time around, the story is narrated by Sanjay Mishra as a battle for India.

As Shivaji (Sharad Kelkar) and Aurangzeb (Luke Kenny) prepare to defend their empires, they turn to two fierce warriors, Tanaji and Udaybhan, to get the job done. While Saif Ali Khan’s Udaybhan has already been established as a ruthless killer, there is an emphasis here on the man turning traitor against his religion.

The focus is also on the title character Tanaji, who is seen as a loyal servant and a family man willing to delay his son’s marriage to serve his king. Devgn’s warrior is seen using his wiles and fighting against the might of the Mughal army till his last breath.
