In October, Gulabo Sitabo's makers announced the film would arrive early on 28 February 2020. Now it seems the reason for the film’s delay is likely because of co-star Khurrana’s other big film of 2020, Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhaan, which is due to be released on 21 February 2020. With only a week between the two films, it seems wiser that they have shifted the date back to April 2020.
Written by Juhi Chaturvedi, Gulabo Sitabo, set in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, deals with a grumpy landlord and his young tenant. Bachchan has acquired a new look for the film to play the angry old man.
