If you loved Heropanti, Sairaat, Dhadak, you will be stunned by P Se Pyaar F Se Faraar: Director Manoj Tiwari

Director Manoj Tiwari’s P Se Pyaar F Se Faraar is based on casteist ‘honour killings’ in India. The film has an ensemble cast of fine artistes like Kumud Mishra, Jimmy Sheirgill, Sanjay Mishra, Girish Kulkarni, Zakir Hussain, Seema Azmi and Neha Joshi. 

Tiwari said in an official statement, “It’s high time we all sit together and see the horrible outcome of caste discrimination that we have let blossom right under our noses. The movie sincerely attempts to initiate a debate on honour killing.”

Tiwari also said P Se Pyaar F Se Faraar will live up to recent films that have depicted caste discrimination. “If you have loved Heropanti (2014), Sairaat (2016) and Dhadak (2018), then you would be stunned by P Se Pyaar F Se Faraar," he continued. "This movie puts forth other layers of those stories. Based on true incidents PSPFSF is super effective and authentic in its tone and message.”

P Se Pyaar F Se Faraar is touted to be based on a real-life incident in Mathura in western Uttar Pradesh. Revealing this, an official statement from the makers said, “The story of the film is based on a true incident in Mathura, where a national-level sportsman had to face the repercussions of intercaste marriage. The film is about a young boy falling in love with a girl and the kind of turbulent and violent reactions that follow between their communities. These make the revered city of love turn into a city of extreme hate.” Mathura is believed to be the birthplace of Krishna, one of the avatars of the god Vishnu.
