Director Pritam SK Patil’s Marathi movie Khichik has an interesting cast which includes Siddharth Jadhav, Prathamesh Parab, Anik Dhakate, Sudesh Berry, Shilpa Thakre, Paula McGlynn and child actor Yash Khond.

The cast coupled with its different posters and an unusual teaser shared in recent times has generated interest for the film. The main story of the film was kept hidden, mostly intentionally.

With the trailer of the film out now, the film shows a little boy Phatphati (Khond) living a harsh life, in poverty with his father (Dhakate). He gets involved in the lives of different characters played by Jadhav, Parab, Thakre and others. There's also the interesting premise of a chicken named Khichik.

Phatphati gets separated from his father, in an unknown place, making him despondent, even though his father promises to return.

Even from the trailer of the film, it is difficult to make out what the main plot of the film is. It leaves you confused as too many incidents flash by in the two-minute trailer with a lack of proper flow. We just hope that the narrative of the film is much better and clearer.

The film is the Marathi film debut for Hindi film actor Sudesh Berry though he is present briefly in the trailer.

Khichik will be released on 20 September. Watch the trailer below and let us know if you are keen to watch the film.
