The second schedule of SS Rajamouli’s highly anticipated magnum opus RRR began on Tuesday in Bulgaria, according to the makers. In this schedule, a crucial scene featuring Jr NTR will be canned and the team also plans to shoot major action sequences.
Apparently, this schedule was supposed to begin much earlier. However, for logistical reasons, it had to be postponed.
The makers have also finalized a foreign actress who will be paired with Jr NTR. She is expected to join the current schedule soon.
RRR, according to Rajamouli, is a fictional story set in the 1920s in the pre-Independence era and it will be based on a few years in the lives of two real heroes and well-known revolutionaries, Alluri Sitarama Raju and Komaram Bheem.
“This will be a fictional story on the lives of Alluri Sitarama Raju and Komaram Bheem," the director told reporters at the film's launch ceremony. "There are gaps in the lives of these legendary freedom fighters that we don’t know about. It is through this fictional story we would like to show what could have happened in their lives and what would have happened if they had met and bonded.”
While Jr NTR will be seen as Komaram Bheem, Ram Charan will be playing Alluri Sitharama Raju. The film also stars Ajay Devgn, Alia Bhatt and Samuthirakani in crucial roles.
The film is being made on a whopping budget of Rs300 crore. Producer DVV Danayya had said the film would be made to high standards that would elevate the stature of Telugu cinema further after the Baahubali series.
