Following Salman Khan and Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s decision to not release their film Inshallah on 2020 Eid, Akshay Kumar has grabbed the spot for one of his upcoming films Laxmmi Bomb (2020).
The film will be released on 22 May 2020, as per a statement released by the producers Cape Of Good Films, Fox Star Studios, Tusshar Kapoor and Shabina Khan. The film was earlier slated to release on 5 June 2020.
The Eid 2020 date was earlier booked by Akshay’s Sooryavanshi, which is his first association with director Rohit Shetty. However, after Inshallah, which also stars Alia Bhatt, was also scheduled to release on the same date, Shetty decided to release Sooryavanshi earlier on 27 March 2020. But the equations have changed again after Khan and Bhansali’s decision to postpone Inshallah.
However, the tweet in which Khan mentioned about postponing Inshallah also indicated that he will be releasing another film of his on that day. “The film with Sanjay Leela Bhansali is pushed but I will still see you all on Eid, 2020. Insha-Allah!!” his tweet said.

Now, if Akshay wanted to avoid a clash with Khan by not releasing Sooryavanshi on Eid 2020, why is he releasing Laxmmi Bomb on that day?
Or maybe all Khan meant was that he will just literally see his fans on Eid from his balcony.
