Chhichhore song 'Woh Din': Pritam, Amitabh Bhattacharya create a nostalgic ode to friendship

The song has been wonderfully rendered by Tushar Joshi.

After the lively 'Fikar Not', Nitesh Tiwari's Chhichhore takes us down memory lane with the nostalgic 'Woh Din'. The Pritam composition is beautifully balanced and gives prominence to the poignant lyrics by Amitabh Bhattacharya.

Sushant Singh Rajput's character Anni opens his college photo album, which brings out a whole range of memories with his college friends. There are pranks to be played, good times to be had, and first-time experiences to indulge in. There's also the promise of first love, as Anni asks out Maya (Shraddha Kapoor).

Before they enter college, they are all strangers, but they end up friends who make up most of their college memories.

Bhattacharya's lyrics are nostalgic and remind us all of a time gone by, when we were mostly happy and carefree thanks to the friendships we enjoyed. Pritam, back after Kalank (2019), reminds us of his score on Jagga Jasoos (2017), which like this album was filled with earworm melodies.

Singer Tushar Joshi is the solo artiste on the song, backed by a chorus. It's a smart chorus that does not crowd out the number, and instead keeps the focus on Joshi's capable vocals.

Chhichhore is due to be released on 6 September.
