Kamaleswar Mukherjee’s upcoming thriller Password (2019) features Dev Adhikari, who also happens to be the producer of the film, Parambrata Chatterjee, Paoli Dam, Rukmini Maitra and Adrit Roy. The teaser puts out certain warnings regarding cybercrimes to viewers.
In the teaser, the warning comes and alerts the viewers of the rapid passing of time. The cast individually attempts to convey the message that there is not much time left when the evils of cybercrime will affect our lives beyond our imaginations and realisations.
While Chatterjee, Dam and Maitra pronounce the warning bells, the rest ask certain questions regarding awareness on various social media platforms and cameras installed in sensitive areas and even on phones. From the teaser, it appears as if the entire team is going to divulge some unknown areas of cybercrimes to the audience.
The teaser is also designed with plenty of visual graphics that generates anticipation. The film has a sleek look that goes well with the content.
However, Chatterjee and Roy seem to be in tune with their screen presence, throwing questions to the audience with calm and expressive demeanour, while Dam, Maitra and Adhikari’s dialogue deliveries seem to be out of place. There are also glimpses of common people being asked the question on awareness, suggesting a survey to make the content realistic.
Password is slated for release during Puja this October.
