Is any marriage safe if one built on deep and passionate love isn't, is the question raised in the trailer.

The trailer of Amitava Bhattacharya’s upcoming film 17th September is out now. Starring Soham Chakraborty and Arunima Ghosh, the romantic film basically brings out the challenges a couple face even in a love marriage. 17th September also features Ambarish Bhattacharya and Anindita Bose in important roles.

The trailer reveals a lot regarding the film and suggests a predictable storyline. Neel (Chakraborty) and Labonyo (Ghosh) are madly in love with each other. According to Bhattacharya, who probably plays Neel’s confidant, their love for each other is intense and inspiring.

Labonyo gives her hand to Neel and they get married early. However, differences soon begin to crop up between the two and Labonyo starts accusing Neel of manipulating her with tall promises before marriage. The latter, unable to control his emotions, even resorts to violence.

Labonyo asks for a divorce and returns to her paternal home right in the midst of preparations for her sister’s wedding. She asks the elders not to disclose that her marriage is falling apart. Neel, too, attends the wedding to respect custom, but the two remain distant as the date for their separation, 17th September, draws near.

While the parents begin to get wind of the miserable equation between their daughter and son-in-law, neither Neel nor Labonyo seem to be eager to discuss the faults in their relationship.

The trailer ends with Bhattacharya raising the question whether any marital relationship is beyond threat if one built on such passionate love is not safe.

The trailer has typical romantic song sequences as well as dialogues that are not original. Leaving aside the question posed by Bhattacharya's character, the trailer does not contain many element to raise anticipation.

17th September is slated for release on, well, 17 September. Watch the trailer below and let us know if you are keen to see this film.
