Actor Ram Charan, who made his Hindi film debut with Apoorva Lakhia’s Zanjeer (2013), is certain that he will return to the industry with his upcoming magnum opus, RRR (2020), which is being directed by SS Rajamouli.

During the press interaction while promoting his father’s film Syeraa Narasimha Reddy (2019), Ram Charan opened up about his Hindi cinema dreams.

Contrary to rumours, he said he hasn’t shied away from Hindi cinema post the debacle of Zanjeer.

“I am not shying away from Bollywood [Hindi cinema]. I’m waiting for the right content to make a comeback. I strongly believe SS Rajamouli’s RRR is a perfect film to return to Hindi industry. It’ll happen next year when we complete the project,” Ram Charan said.

Meanwhile, Charan said he’s confident about Syeraa Narasimha Reddy making a strong impact in Hindi cinema.

“The film has been made on a scale à la Baahubali. Syeraa has everything to appeal to all sections of the audiences and that’s why we’re taking it beyond regional boundaries. It’s a story of an unsung hero the world should know. My father couldn’t have had a better film to return to Bollywood after 25 years,” he said.

Directed by Surender Reddy, Syeraa Narasimha Reddy is based on the life of Kurnool-based freedom fighter Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy. The film also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Nayanthara, Tamannaah Bhatia, Sudeep, Vijay Sethupathi and Jagapathi Babu among others.

Meanwhile, Ram Charan will return to commence shooting for RRR from next month. The film marks his first time union with Jr NTR.

While Jr NTR will be seen as Komaram Bheem, Ram Charan will be playing Alluri Sitharama Raju.
