At a time when nondescript parties pop up every second day claiming 'offense', makers of The Zoya Factor (2019) are running a risk with their creative first look for the film. The motion poster features Sonam Kapoor Ahuja as the 'lucky mascot' for the Indian cricket team.
And here she is! The lucky charm of India, Zoya Solanki. She is winning hearts everywhere with #TheZoyaFactor, let’s see if she can win mine! @sonamakapoor #AbhishekSharma @Pooja_Shetty @aartims @foxstarhindi @ad_labsfilms pic.twitter.com/mfXBQl8Dqy

The actress is Zoya Solanki, posing as the goddess of luck. The poster itself is a play on the calendar art that many Indians are familiar with. The twist being that Kapoor's character poses with the cricket helmet and bat as the sign of her power.
The film, directed by Abhishek Sharma, is based on the bestselling novel of the same name by Anuja Chauhan. The story revolves around Zoya Solanki, born on the same day as India's iconic World Cup win in 1983. Her fate brings her in contact with the current Indian cricket team, whose luck begins to change with her arrival.
The film is Kapoor's first film with Dulquer Salmaan. The Zoya Factor is due to be released on 20 September, and will clash with the films Prasthanam, Jhund, and Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas.
