Shah Rukh Khan has been teasing audiences through a few short videos about his upcoming Netflix web-series Bard Of Blood. The videos show the actor being roped in on a mission against his wishes. Khan is game but the last video ends with him sitting in front of a man with his face covered.

The final video, released today, shows that the man in the mask is none other than actor Emraan Hashmi, who is playing the main lead in Bard Of Blood. This is the first time that Khan and Hashmi have worked together.
Like the previous videos, this one also shows Khan trying to be tough but turning out to be silly. His self-references of his own films like Baazigar (1993), Baadshah (1998), Don (2006), and Chak De! India (2007) are funny and so is the moment when he takes a dig at Hashmi’s character name Adonis. At times, his antics do appear silly but somehow they suit Khan’s persona.
This video also reveals that Hashmi is playing a street-smart hacker in the series. Besides Hashmi, the series also stars Vineet Kumar Singh, Sobhita Dhulipala and Rajit Kapoor. It’s based on young author Bilal Siddiqui’s book of the same name and is directed by Ribhu Dasgupta.
The book is about a Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) officer who, after having left the agency, is forced to return to counter growing terrorism in the country. The web-series Bard Of Blood will begin streaming on Netflix from 27 September.
