Priyanka Chopra to star in Netflix film, We Can Be Heroes

The superhero film, written and directed by Robert Rodriguez, has already begun shooting in Texas, USA.

Priyanka Chopra has lined up her next Hollywood production with Robert Rodriguez's We Can Be Heroes for Netflix. The superhero film has been written and directed by Rodriguez, whose last film was Alita: Battle Angel (2019).

The film's plotline in Netflix’s press release states that "when alien invaders kidnap Earth’s superheroes, their children must team up and learn to work together if they want to save their parents and the world".

Chopra joins a large ensemble cast that includes Christian Slater, YaYa Gosselin, Akira Akbar, Andrew Diaz, Andy Walken, Boyd Holbrook, Hala Finley, Isaiah Russell-Bailey, Lotus Blossom, Lyon Daniels, Nathan Blair, Sung Kang, Vivien Lyra Blair, Adriana Barraza, Christopher McDonald and Pedro Pascal. It is unclear what role the actress will play in the superhero film.

Principal photography for the film has already begun in Texas, USA.

Chopra will next be seen in Shonali Bose's The Sky Is Pink (2019) which has its world premiere on 13 September at the upcoming Toronto International Film Festival. The family drama also stars Farhan Akhtar, Zaira Wasim and Rohit Saraf.
