Parineeti Chopra might be walking into dark territory going by the first look of her upcoming remake of The Girl On The Train (2016). The actress shared a picture of her battered self from the ongoing shoot of the Ribhu Dasgupta film.
Something I’ve never done before. And the most difficult character I have ever played in my life.💥 #FirstLook #TheGirlOnTheTrain @RelianceEnt @Shibasishsarkar @amblin pic.twitter.com/D7tQqXdnyi

The picture sees Chopra's battered heroine looking towards the horizon as she comes to terms with the terror that she seems to have faced. The look is a far cry from the usual happy romances that the actress has been a part of.
Directed by Ribhu Dasgupta, The Girl On The Train is a remake of the Hollywood film of the same name, which in turn was adapted from the bestseller, The Girl On The Train by Paula Hawkins.
The story revolves around a girl who idolises a couple she sees from the train every day, but her life transforms after she finds herself involved in a murder investigation.
The cast and crew began shooting in England earlier this month, and are expected to wrap up the schedule by September. The untitled remake is set to release in theatres in 2020.
