Salman Khan’s Dabangg 3 will be released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada

This is the first time Salman Khan's film will be released in four languages.

Salman Khan’s next big-budget film, Dabangg 3 (2019), is this year’s Christmas release. Now comes word that the film will be released simultaneously in four languages — Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada. This is the first time any film starring Salman Khan is being dubbed in three other languages for simultaneous release.

Khan revealed this on Twitter by sharing a picture of himself with the film’s director Prabhu Deva. “Chulbul Pandey coming to you on 20th Dec in Hindi, Kannada, Tamil and Telugu!” the star tweeted. The picture has Khan donning the look of his character Chulbul Pandey from the franchise.

Dabangg 3 sees him take his character forward. He is once again paired with Sonakshi Sinha. Prabhu Deva was not involved with either of the two previous films in the series. The first was helmed by Abhinav Kashyap and the second one by Salman Khan’s brother, actor-producer Arbaaz Khan.

The first two films also had veteran actor Vinod Khanna as Salman’s father. After Khanna's death in 2017, the makers have replaced him with his brother Pramod Khanna. The announcement was made earlier this year. This will be the acting debut for Pramod Khanna.

Dabangg 3 is due to be released on 20 December.
