FWICE threatens Salman Khan with a ban if he works with Mika Singh

The singer is on the list of celebrities expected to appear with Khan on his next tour, Up, Close, and Personal with Salman Khan, to USA.

The trouble over Mika Singh seems to have boiled over to Salman Khan's territory now. The Federation of Western Indian Cine Employees (FWICE) has warned that 'anyone working with Mika Singh' will be subject to a ban from the federation, even if the person in question is Salman Khan.

Singh earned the wrath of the federation after having performed at the wedding of former Pakistani president Pervez Musharraf's relative in Karachi recently. Since the increase in tensions between India and Pakistan, several federations have come down severely on any artistic exchange between the two countries. The decision of Mika Singh to perform in Pakistan earned him a ban from the federation, despite the singer posting an apology video soon after.

Singh is included in the list of celebrities expected to join Salman Khan on a six-city tour of the United States. Titled Up, Close, and Personal with Salman Khan, the tour will see the actor interact and conduct photo opportunities with fans in America. The event is managed by Sohail Khan's event management team with Jordy Patel's JA Events in India and Bhavesh Patel in the United States.

Speaking to Mid-Day.com, Jordy Patel said, "We are only dealing with Bhavesh Patel as our contract is with him. Some local promoter in the US must have signed on Mika and added him to the line-up. Salman will have nothing to do with Mika at the event. They will not even interact on stage."

On the contrary, FWICE general secretary Ashok Dubey was quoted by the report saying, "If we impose a ban, it means all our technicians -- including actors, directors and even spot boys -- will not work with Mika. If someone works with Mika during this ban, say Salman or anyone else, then he too will be banned."

Dubey went on to add that while the federation could not stop anyone from holding events in other countries, they would 'choose not to work' with the person in the future.

The event is scheduled to take place on 28 August. Earlier on Sunday, Mika Singh put out a video post requesting the federation to consider his apology to the nation.
