Watch the Chapekar brothers in action in the second trailer of Gondya Aala Re

Digital platform Zee5’s web-series Gondya Aala Re began streaming on India’s Independence Day on 15 August. Five days after the release, the makers have come out with the second trailer of the series dedicated to the revolutionary Chapekar Brothers. 

The story follows the three brothers named Damodar (Bhushan Pradhan), Balkrishna and Vasudeo. They shoot down the British civil services officer Walter Charles Rand. It was under his leadership that the British troops carried out atrocities on the people of Pune when they were supposed to help the people affected by the plague in 1897. 

The first trailer showed the atrocities committed by the British and the rise of the Chapekar brothers who are determined to take revenge from Rand. The second trailer focusses only on the revolutionary acts of the Chapekar brothers and its consequences. 

The trailer is as massy as the first one. The makers have offered a lot of thrill and action over here too along with an exciting background score. It is not often that you see such filmi weapons used to narrate a real story but this doesn’t bother you in any way. This approach was also seen in Rajkummar Rao’s web-series Bose, which was based on the life of the Indian revolutionary Subhash Chandra Bose. 

Directed by Ankur Kakatkar, Gondya Aala Re also stars Kshitish Date, Shivraj Vaichal, Anand Ingle and Sunil Barve, who plays Lokmanya Tilak.
