Even though it has been 16 years since the release of his debut film Tum Bin (2001), Priyanshu Chatterjee is still known as one of the three male leads from the romantic drama. Tum Bin (2001) was also the debut for filmmkaer Anubhav Sinha.
Chatterjee will now be seen as the main lead in the upcoming Hindi film titled Little Baby (2019). Directed by Shekhar S Jha, the film has Chatterjee play the role of a cop. However, the film is the story of a father and daughter. Newcomer Gulnaz Siganporia will be playing his daughter in the film.
The first poster of Little Baby has an interesting image of the daughter both as a kid and adult. Siganporia’s expression as a grown up indicates that she is might be upset with her father, who has not aged.
This is Jha’s fourth film as a director after Eik Dasttak (2007), Prem Mayee (2012) and Wedding Anniversary (2017).
Chatterjee had played in cop in Aapko Pehle Bhi Kahin Dekha Hai (2003), his second film which was also helmed by Sinha. Interestingly, he will also be playing a cop in another upcoming film Officer Arjun Singh IPS (2019).
Little Baby, which was shot entirely in Dehradun, is due to be released on 20 September.
