After leading the performance with Nushrat Bharucha in ‘Radhe Radhe’, Dream Girl’s Ayushmann Khurrana is back as Pooja to woo his clients over the phone. The actor switches voices as Pooja in his new role to woo the characters of Vijay Raaz, Abhishek Banerjee, Raj Bhansali, and Nidhi Bisht.
In a delightful twist, singer Jonita Gandhi croons for Khurrana’s Pooja in the song ‘Dil Ka Telephone’. The catchy track, penned by Kumaar, has Pooja telling her callers that ‘she’ is waiting for them. Each of her ‘suitors’ seems absolutely captivated by her.
Nakash Aziz joins Gandhi as the voice of the suitors who seem restless for Pooja. The song is composed by Meet Bros who also contribute to the vocals in the track.
The track seems to indicate a comedy of errors for Khurrana’s character who has to balance his second life, away from his father (Annu Kapoor), and others. He even has a narrow escape meeting Bisht’s character right next to him, at one point.
Dream Girl, written and directed by Raaj Shaandilyaa, is due to be released on 13 September.
