Actor Madhav Deochake recently gained popularity through the recently concluded reality show Marathi Bigg Boss, despite him not winning the contest. As soon as he came out of the Bigg Boss house, he was signed for Subhash Ghai’s Marathi production Vijeta.
The mahurat of the film recently took place. Along with Deochake, it was also attended by the rest of the cast including Subodh Bhave, Pooja Sawant and Sushant Shelar. The film has just gone on floors.
“It is my good fortune that soon after finishing Bigg Boss, I got a film made by a big filmmaker like Subhash Ghai. This is a big thing for me. I have grown up watching his super duper hit films. So, to get a chance to work in a film under his banner Mukta Arts is like a dream,” Deochake shared in an official statement.
He further said that the place in Filmcity where Bigg Boss’s set was erected is lucky for him since the sets of his two TV serials Humari Devrani and Saraswati were also erected there. “Humari Devrani, Saraswati and Bigg Boss turned out to be the three turning points of my career,” the actor stated.
This is Ghai’s second Marathi production after Sanai Choughade (2008), which also starred Subodh Bhave along with Shreyas Talpade, Santosh Juvekar and Sai Tamhankar.
Directed by Amol Shetge, Vijeta is a sports drama featuring sprinting, wrestling, and many others sports.
