The Hollywood action film Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw, which is the ninth part in the series, had a good first weekend in India where it earned Rs37 crore, as per figures shared by BoxOfficeIndia.com.

But the film saw a drop on Monday as it made Rs5 crore and could not remain stable on the following days. On Thursday, the last day of the week, the number came down to Rs3.25 crore, for a first-week total of Rs53.25 crore for the David Leitch-directed film.

The total isn’t bad by any means. But it pales before the performance of the previous two films in the franchise. The seventh film made Rs98 crore in India while the eighth made Rs87 crore. Hobbs & Shaw may struggle to get near those numbers. If the film's collection falls below Rs87 crore, it would mean the numbers of the franchise are on a downward trend.

Meanwhile, Super 30 has had a good fourth week where it made Rs9.50 crore. The Hrithik Roshan-starrer has so far made Rs140.89 crore and become a clear hit.

The Hollywood film The Lion King has also maintained its performance well in its third week in India by making Rs16.25 crore, which takes it overall total to an impressive Rs141.78 crore.
