Yoodlee Films' upcoming production, Chappad Phaad Ke, has completed filming in Pune. The entire film, directed by Sameer Joshi, was filmed during the month of March this year.
The satirical comedy stars Vinay Pathak and Ayesha Raza as the Gupchups. The actor and actress play a married Maharashtrian couple, Sharad and Vaishali, raising their children Shubham (Siddharth Menon) and Ketaki (Sheetal Thakur). Pathak's character Sharad is morally uptight and Raza's character Vaishali is simple. But when the duo come upon an unclaimed bag of cash containing crores, they face an ethical dilemma of what to do.
Chappad Phaad Ke is the banner's second production to wrap filming this year. Kanpuriye, which stars Aparshakti Khurana and Divyendu Sharma, was also completed earlier this year.
In a press release, the lead actor, Vinay Pathak said, "The film spoke to me on the critical themes it addresses in today’s times: of finding your moral compass in a consumerist world. It’s a funny, sensitive and engaging story and I am really excited to be a part of this Yoodlee project."
The comedy's director, Sameer Joshi, complimented his cast and said of his film, "This is a modern day story that is at once both relevant and engaging. I am really happy that Yoodlee Films is backing this project and enabling me to put this human drama on screen."
Chappad Phaad Ke is due to be released in the second half of 2019.
