The teaser of director Makarand Mane’s Kaagar generated a lot of curiosity about the film and its lead character played by Rinku Rajguru. It showed her playing the girlfriend of an aspiring politician (Shubhankar Tawade). But the guy gets sidelined and she enters politics.
The recently released song from the film ‘Lagliya Godi Tujhi,’ shows the romance angle between Rajguru and Tawade's characters.
It’s a sweet, romantic number revolving around a couple in love that is about to get married. It’s a melodic number, with a tinge of naughtiness that goes well with the characters and the setting of a small, but scenic village.
Singers Shashaa Tirupati and Harshavardhan Wavre’s voices are not only melodious, but also bring out the rural flavour of the romance.
This is the first time that composer AV Prafullachandra is composing for a well-known movie. As far as this song is concerned, his work is impressive. He has also written the lyrics of 'Lagliya Godu Tujhi'.
The song and Rajguru's character of a village girl harks back to her historic debut film Sairat (2016).
The chemistry between Rajguru and Tawade is quite appealing. The incident where he stealthily appreciates her dance performance is cute, yet funny.
Kaagar is scheduled for release on 26 April. Watch the song below and let us know if you would be interested in watching this film.
