Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma joins a long list of directors who turned actors with the upcoming film, Cobra. Directed by Varma and Adithya Manju, the film seems to be another underworld crime drama, a familiar theme for the filmmaker.
The director shared the poster of his upcoming film titled Cobra on his social media page. Varma wrote: 'COBRA is a bilingual being made in Hindi and Telugu ..It is a biopic of the most dangerous criminal that ever existed in the criminal history of india ..A new actor K G is playing the protagonist and I am playing an intelligence officer #Cobra'

According to the poster, Varma is playing 'Intelligence officer'. With his cigarette and gun, the director seems to be posing as part of his own film. Reports suggest that the film is based on the Naxalite-turned-gangster Nayeemuddin, who was gunned down in an encounter with the police in 2016.
There is no release date scheduled yet for Cobra.
