The teaser for superstar Mahesh Babu’s upcoming Telugu action film Maharshi, directed by Vamshi Paidipally, was unveiled on Saturday on the auspicious occasion of Ugadi, the Telugu new year.
The first impression of the teaser is that the film features Mahesh in the role of a character called Rishi, who does not like losing. The teaser gives us a quick glimpse into Rishi's journey.
In the opening shot of the teaser, we see Mahesh alight from a chopper escorted by a personal bodyguard on what appears to be the rooftop of a skyscraper in the US.
Cut to the next shot, and we see Mahesh answer questions at what appears to be a press conference.
He is asked whether his success story has reached its end. Rishi replies that there are no full stops in success, only commas. This is followed by the dialogue, "Success is not a destination, it’s a journey", delivered in Mahesh’s inimitable style.
There is a random shot of Mahesh Babu running down a corridor. Cut to another shot and we see Rishi tell someone that when he is told he is about to lose, he proves them wrong by winning.
Maharshi, which happens to be Mahesh Babu’s 25th film, marks his maiden collaboration with director Vamshi Paidipally.
The film, which has music by Devi Sri Prasad, also stars Pooja Hedge and Allari Naresh in important roles.
Maharshi, which was originally scheduled to be released on 25 April, will now hit the screens on 9 May.
