The producer-director was cast in wax alongside his Kalank actor Varun Dhawan in the Singapore's Madame Tussaud's wax museum.

Being cast in wax seems like a new craze among Hindi film stars, and Karan Johar is the latest member of the a line-up that includes Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Priyanka Chopra, Varun Dhawan and Ranveer Singh. The producer-director now has his own wax statue in the Singapore branch of the Madame Tussaud's wax museum.
The producer-director had posted an image of the wax model of his hand on 2 April, promising the unveiling on 4 April.

Johar's statue was unveiled this morning, with the director managing to take a selfie with his likeness in Singapore.

The producer-director was accompanied by mother Hiroo Johar at the event. Johar later went on to take a picture with the statue of Varun Dhawan also in the museum. Dhawan certainly found that amusing and responded on Twitter.

Dhawan is part of the lead cast of Abhishek Varman's Kalank, set for release on 17 April. The film is produced by Johar's Dharma productions.
