Jyothika’s next film with Jeethu Joseph goes on the floors in Goa


In the film, Jyothika and her brother-in-law Karthi will be sharing screen space for the first time. They will be playing siblings.

Jyothika is wrapping up projects swiftly. Having recently completed two projects, she began shooting for a yet-untitled Tamil project with director Jeethu Joseph on Saturday in Goa.

In the film, Jyothika and her brother-in-law Karthi will be sharing screen space for this first time. They will be seen playing siblings.

Karthi took to Twitter and wrote: “Thrilled to share screen space with Anni [sister-in-law] for the first time. Looking forward to work with Jeethu Joseph sir. Sathyaraj sir brings more strength to us. With all your blessings shoot begins today.”

Sathyaraj and Malayalam actor Anson also play crucial roles in the film, which has music by Govind Vasantha. RD Rajasekar has been roped in to crank the camera. The makers are yet to reveal the rest of the cast and crew. 

On Saturday, the makers released a special poster to mark the commencement of the project.

Rensil D’Silva and Manikandan will be co-writing the film with Jeethu Joseph and it will be jointly bankrolled by Viacom18 Motion Pictures and Parallel Minds Productions.

Meanwhile, Jyothika is juggling two projects which were launched recently. In one of the projects, helmed by first-time director S Raj, she plays a school teacher. According to a statement released by the makers recently, a school set worth Rs50 lakh was erected in Chennai where most of the shooting took place.

The project will also star Poornima Bhagyaraj, Sathyan, Hareesh Peradi and Kavitha Bharathi. Sean Roldan has been roped in for the music while Gokul Benoy is the cinematographer.

Jyothika also has another yet-untitled project with another first-time director. This film is yet to be officially announced.
