Chhota Bheem Kung Fu Dhamaka song ‘Circus Jam’ a blot on Sunidhi Chauhan's choices

The song tries too hard at being a track for kids, and ends up insulting their innocence and intelligence.

Sunidhi Chauhan is one of the most prolific singers in the Hindi film arena. With the upcoming animated film Chhota Bheem Kung Fu Dhamaka (2019), she has tried her vocal chords at a children’s song ‘Circus Jam’.

There is a huge difference between good children’s films and films made in a childish way. The same danger lurks in songs targeted at children. The major culprit in 'Circus Jam' are the lyrics or the lack of it. It tries too hard at being a track for kids, and ends up insulting their innocence and intelligence. This goes for the rap portions as well.

To put it simply, Chauhan's outing in this animation film is forgettable, but she cannot be blamed for it. She tries her best, and if not for her smooth vocals, the song could easily pass of as a Dhinchak Pooja single. John Streward Eduri’s music is mostly stagnant and uninspiring.

The visuals of Chhota Bheem and other characters of the film are quite interesting though.

Chhota Bheem Kung Fu Dhamaka is directed by Rajiv Chilaka and produced under his own banner Green Gold Animation. The film will be released on 10 May.
