While filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali is yet to begin the shoot on Inshallah, featuring Salman Khan and Alia Bhatt, there are reports emerging of the director starting another project. Bhansali is likely to produce a comedy by Balwinder Singh Janjua which will feature Randeep Hooda in the lead.
According to a report in the tabloid Mumbai Mirror, Janjua, who last wrote the Arjun Kapoor ensemble comedy Mubarakan (2017), will make his directorial debut with the film. The report quoted a source saying that the film is a mystery thriller with comic undertones, and will have Hooda playing a cop in a small village town.
There has been no confirmation of the news from the production house yet.
Janjua has already begun pre-production on the film, and is expected to begin recce for the locations, said the report.
Hooda is also playing a role in the untitled Imtiaz Ali directorial venture featuring Sara Ali Khan and Kartik Aaryan, as well as being a part of Dhaka, the Netflix film which stars Chris Hemsworth in the lead.
